National Testing Agency Holds the responsibility to conduct the examination for UGC NET. University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is conducted to select eligible candidates as Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. Candidates have to take an online examination for UGC NET. The examination is conducted for 03 hours (with any break between 2 papers). It is important for applicants to secure minimum 40% marks in UGC NET. Those who qualify UGC NET get an e-certificate and JRF award letter. Both the certificates are issued online at the official website.

The national level NET qualified candidates are appointed as Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities and colleges.
